The total number of transactions completed through the Sanad Service Centers' e-portal during the first quarter of 2026 exceeded 131,000, reflecting the growing efficiency of the centers' performance and their continued active role in supporting the public and private services sector, as well as the increased confidence of beneficiaries in the quality and efficiency of the services provided.

This performance is a result of ongoing efforts to simplify procedures for citizens, entrepreneurs, and investors through a network of 922 centers spread across the Sultanate of Oman. These centers have created a total of 2,264 job opportunities and are managed by dedicated Omani staff within the framework of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), providing a comprehensive suite of e-government services.

Mohammed bin Salem Al-Mashaikhi, Director of the Sanad Service Centers Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, affirmed that these positive indicators achieved during the first quarter of this year reflect the continuous efforts and pivotal role these centers play as a national project contributing to the development of public services, empowering SMEs, and enhancing the beneficiary experience in the Sultanate of Oman.

He noted the Ministry's ongoing efforts to empower national staff working in Sanad Service Centers by implementing specialized training and qualification programs to enhance the efficiency of center owners and employees. He explained that approximately 815 trainees participated in these programs, which focused on developing practical and theoretical skills related to service delivery mechanisms and improving communication methods with beneficiaries. This contributes to increased customer satisfaction, faster transaction processing, and streamlined procedures, in addition to supporting job opportunities in this sector. The Ministry also intensified field visits aimed at monitoring and ensuring performance quality and compliance with regulations, conducting 213 field visits during the first quarter of this year.

He stated that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion places great importance on supporting and developing Sanad Service Centers to enhance current services and expand and add new services in coordination with government agencies and private sector institutions. This strengthens service integration and aligns with the requirements of digital transformation.

He clarified that the Ministry held several meetings with relevant entities to explore opportunities for adding new services to the centers and to discuss activating technical integration with previously agreed-upon entities. This will contribute to expanding the scope of services offered and improving their efficiency. The Director of the Sanad Service Centers Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion stated that the Sanad Service Centers play a pivotal role in supporting the objectives of "Oman Vision 2040" by bringing government services closer and facilitating them, providing job opportunities for Omani youth, and enabling them to manage small and medium enterprises that provide integrated electronic services, thus enhancing their position as a leading national model in supporting digital transformation and economic development.
