The national campaign for discounts and promotions, "Oman Celebrates", has concluded.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion concluded today the third edition of the national discount and promotional campaign, "Oman Celebrates." The event was organized to build upon the success of the campaign, which ran from January 11 to February 11, 2026, and saw the participation of 1,574 retail outlets across the Sultanate of Oman, compared to 814 in the second edition. This significant increase reflects the growing participation and rapid growth in the commercial sector's engagement with the initiative. This figure underscores the increasing confidence of private sector institutions in the campaign and its established position as an annual economic event with a direct impact on the local market.

The campaign also witnessed a strong turnout from consumers in various governorates, contributing to the revitalization of markets and shopping centers, boosting purchasing power, and stimulating the economic cycle, particularly with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan. Nasra bint Sultan Al Habsi, Director General of Trade at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, confirmed that the campaign included discounts of at least 30 percent, along with a variety of promotional offers including raffles, prizes, and instant gifts, all in accordance with established regulations. Clear and transparent, ensuring the protection of consumer rights.

She explained that the campaign aims to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors, stimulate economic activity, and provide products at affordable prices for various segments of society. It also aims to support centers and brands and increase their sales, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to build a competitive, open, and sustainable economy.

For her part, Azza bint Ibrahim Al Kindi, Director of the Department of Commercial Affairs and E-Commerce at the Ministry, indicated that the campaign reflected a clear integration between regulatory frameworks and digital transformation. Participation procedures were facilitated through electronic services, which contributed to expediting application approvals and increasing procedural efficiency.

Ali bin Hamad Al Maamari, Director of the Licensing Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, affirmed that the "Oman Celebrates" campaign is no longer just a seasonal campaign, but has become a national platform for regulating the commercial offers environment and enhancing market confidence.

The closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Engineer Ghalib bin Saeed Al Maamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, and a number of officials and representatives of public and private sector institutions.
