The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has announced the addition of new services to the “Oman Business Platform” mobile application, including updating commercial registration data, renewing commercial registrations, and renewing licenses. The move comes as part of the ministry’s continuous efforts to simplify procedures and enhance ease of doing business, coinciding with the launch of COMEX 2025. The development and upgrade of the app form part of the ministry’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy, aimed at streamlining the business environment, simplifying government procedures, and boosting Oman’s investment appeal by providing fast and reliable services. The initiative also supports efficiency and transparency in government service delivery while aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 in building a sustainable digital economy. Mubarak bin Mohammed Al-Dohani, Director General of Planning and Head of the Digital Transformation Team at MoCIIP, stated: “The addition of these services to the Oman Business Platform mobile application reflects the ministry’s commitment to advancing digital solutions and meeting the needs of investors and clients. This step will enhance transaction efficiency and reduce time and effort. We will continue to develop and enrich the app with additional services that align with Oman Vision 2040’s digital transformation objectives and efforts to strengthen the investment climate.” He further emphasized that the ministry remains committed to developing integrated digital solutions in coordination with its other platforms, such as the “Hazm Platform” and “Ma’arouf Oman Platform”, to reinforce the competitiveness of the national economy and position Oman as an attractive destination for investment.
