The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in collaboration with the “e-Building” platform, organized the National Program for the Active Advancement of the Construction Sector. This strategic initiative aims to develop the capabilities of workers in the sector, enhance the quality of execution, and deliver distinguished professional events. A number of specialists from the government judiciary were selected to participate, focusing on practical and applied training through specialized content based on real-world cases in the province. This contributes to developing technical and administrative skills, positively impacting project management across its various departments.

Hussain bin Mashhour Al Asfoor, CEO of the “e-Building” platform, stated that the program represents a step towards transforming the construction sector by linking knowledge with practical application and empowering national talent with the tools and skills demanded by the market. He noted that the platform partnered with official bodies to create a new model that has resulted in improved execution quality and reduced waste and operational challenges. He affirmed that the platform exists to support the sector's sustainability and enhance its diversification in the long term. The program aims to benefit national talent, with its broad professional expertise in the construction sector, ensuring project quality and addressing numerous challenges. It also supports the sustainability of the sector's contribution to economic development by emphasizing the importance of investing in human capital and fostering effective collaboration between government agencies, specialized platforms, and the private sector, ultimately contributing to building a more efficient construction sector.

The program is being implemented partially in person in several governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, including Muscat and Nizwa, while also offering online participation. This ensures broad coverage and opportunities for various workers, employers, and stakeholders in the construction sector across different governorates. A select group of companies contributing to the construction sector are participating, including Bahwan Glass, Asia Paints, Al Madina Cement Purchasing, and Muscat Steel. These components contribute to the transfer of practical experience and the demonstration of best practices in materials and execution.
