Several undersecretaries from relevant governmental entities took a visit to the Lounge of Oman Business Platform at Al Araimi Boulevard, affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), in the attendance of senior government officials and private-sector representatives. Welcomed by H.E. Dr Saleh bin Said Masan, the Undersecretary of the MoCIIP for Commerce and Industry, along with officials reviewing the working operations of the lounge. During the visit, they reviewed the facilities and services offered by the lounge, receiving a detailed briefing on its operating mechanisms and service scope. They commended the level of organisation, service quality, and the innovative solutions provided by the platform to streamline and accelerate transaction processing. The undersecretaries underscored the importance of the initiative in unifying government service delivery channels and enhancing institutional efficiency, in line with digital transformation objectives. They noted its role in supporting the business environment in Oman and improving the experience of entrepreneurs and investors. The lounge offers a wide range of services, including transaction follow-up and completion, services of the National Intellectual Property Office, the Investment Services Centre, commercial registration services, as well as enquiries and self-service options. Operating hours run from Sunday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nasra bint Sultan Al Habsi, Director General of Commerce at the MoCIIP, said the Oman Business Platform represents an advanced model for government service delivery, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to simplifying procedures and providing smart solutions that enhance efficiency and improve beneficiary experience. She added that the platform marks a key step towards advancing digital transformation and integrating government services in a single location. She further noted that the MoCIIP continues to expand and enhance digital services and develop integrated service environments aligned with the expectations of entrepreneurs and investors, contributing to a more attractive investment climate and strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy in line with Oman Vision 2040. The project aims to unify service delivery channels and enhance customer experience through innovative digital solutions. The lounge features a range of specialised services, including commercial registration ownership transfer via video notarisation, as well as the pilot launch of the Where You Are service, which enables the completion of selected procedures without the need for in-person attendance.
